Ramsons was already known in the Middle Ages and was used as a medicinal plant for the defense and expulsion against the evil. Today ramsons leaves are a wonderfully tasty ingredient in salads, soups, smoothies and much more. Also known as bear's garlic, the herb is very popular for the preparation of oils and dips, sauces, herb butter and, of course, the well-known Ramsons Wild Garlic Pesto. The taste of wild garlic is very reminiscent of garlic, but much milder, no wonder, the herb belongs to a plant family with chives, onion and garlic. Bear's garlic tastes incredibly good and is really a refiner of many dishes.
